Ingredients:
Neroli – The scent of fresh bright citrus blossom, Neroli, is uplifting and joyful. In addition to brightening the scent of the Day Balm, Neroli also has a brightening, cleansing, toning, and balancing effect on the skin.
Calendula – Our vibrant Biodynamic® Calendula is farmed and harvested mindfully for Laurel Skin. Calendula is deeply restorative and healing on a cellular level. It is excellent for scarring and all forms of skin damage.
Carrot Seed – This oil contains carotenoids and specific nutrients that have proven to help prevent sun damage from occurring as well as repair UV damage related symptoms such as discoloration and loss of elasticity.
Rosehip – Our Rosehip Oil is incredibly special because it comes from both fruit and seed, making more vitamins and nutrients more bioavailable. There are no oils that match the unique chemical make-up of Rosehip Oil, which has been used for centuries and studied at length for its ability to reduce the appearance of scars, repair deep cellular damage, and minimize the appearance of fine lines by supporting collagen and connective tissue.
Gotu Kola – Gotu Kola is a plant that supports connective tissue and collagen, by protecting it and encouraging new growth. Our Gotu Kola is the most vibrant in the world and grown exclusively for us by a nearby farm. It is a plant that we truly cannot do without in any healthy aging formula.

Laurel Says:
Science: It is true that your skin can only absorb so much oil. If a product is seeming to not absorb into your skin – whether it be a facial oil or a facial balm, consider first that you might simply be using too much. A facial cream is always approximately 70% water; this is just how all emulsifiers work. In a cosmetic emulsion, the water has to be dominant at well over 60%, typically closer to 70-80%. When you are switching to a Balm or Oil from a Cream, it’s important to consider this information and use only 1/4 of what you would normally expect to use with a cream. Balms and Serums are dramatically concentrated in comparison to normal commercial skin care. If you are looking to reduce that shiny glow, then simply use less product.
Ritual: My personal favorite time to use Day Balm when I’m concerned with the elements – that might be cold winters or it might be too much sun; I find it helpful for both. I don’t have very dry skin, so I don’t necessarily have to use a Balm every day. But I love the extra antioxidant protection this product brings when I am concerned with UV damage, or skin dehydration in harsh dry winters. I apply a generous misting of Elixir, followed by a couple of drops of Serum, another misting of Elixir, and finish with a tiny amount of Day Balm before I head out to face the day.
