Great Nature: Breathwork, Meditation, and Acupressure

Immerse yourself in our serene 5-acre spa retreat in West Sonoma County for a day of transformative self-care.  Your journey begins with a morning of relaxation, including a group cedar enzyme footbath, your choice of a 70-minute massage or a 65-minute custom facial, peaceful walking meditation through our bamboo forest, and guided meditation in our renowned Japanese garden.  Next, a nourishing lunch, crafted by a local chef with fresh, wholesome ingredients will be offered in a magical creekside setting beneath the shade of oak and bay trees.

In the afternoon, explore the magic of connecting your personal nature with Great Nature by playing with breath wraps for rapture, metaphor, and imaginative meditation practices led by Maggie Zebrine. To begin, using the body as a resource to keep us grounded to earth, we will climb a mountain in the mind with active pranayama. Then, we will play with subtle integrated breath techniques, and meditate through the lens of Taoism, the Five Elements, and TCM. Meanwhile, acupressure will be administered by Britt Peterson to elevate and integrate your insights as we steep in restoration in the serenity of the Osmosis Day Spa setting.

Following this, after experiencing the acupressure session, learn self-acupressure and new techniques to continue the renewal in your home practice. Additionally, a handout of the acupressure points and meditation practices will be provided for you to take a piece of the experience home with you. Ultimately, leave with tools for a more easeful life, high spirits, and a refreshed perspective.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, all are welcome. Please wear comfy, loose-fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat.

As you blend your scrub, you’ll learn how the lymphatic system supports detoxification and immunity, and how to care for it naturally.

Afterward, we will conclude the afternoon with a guided meditation in communion with the spirit of rose — a plant teacher of the heart. You’ll work with rose flower essence and rose tea, and then reflect on the experience through journaling.

This retreat grounds itself in herbalism, intentional movement, and seasonal nutrition to offer a restorative blend of education, embodiment, and sensory engagement. You will leave feeling deeply rooted, refreshed, and empowered with tools to carry the spirit of the retreat into your daily life.
